Hydrant flushing scheduled for May

Expect the possibility of pressure loss and/or discoloration. The Kronenwetter Water Utility will be flushing water mains (hydrants) on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on May 13 to May 31, 2024.

This action is part of the Village’s regular maintenance. Water utility customers may experience some disturbance in their water service. This may include decreased water pressure or the appearance of brown or discolored water. The water is safe to drink, although it is best to avoid drinking the water until it runs clear from the tap.

If you do experience water discoloration, please allow the water to settle down for a few hours. If the problem persists into the next day, please contact the KWU at 715-693-5732.Those with sensitive water needs are encouraged to draw water before the hours of flushing (7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.).

If possible, wash clothes on the weekends to avoid the possibility of getting stained clothes. Using a product such as Iron Out, may reduce the risk of staining.
