Become a candidate

The Village Board is made up of a president and six trustees. Village Board meetings are held on the second and fourth Monday of each month. Village Board members are required to serve on one or two of the Village's commissions and/or committees as well. Committees/commissions typically meet once a month. Village trustees are paid $350 a month.

If you want to run for an open trustee seat, Candidate Packets must be completed and turned into the Village Clerk by 5 pm. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. This packet contains all the necessary forms and instructions, including nomination papers used for collecting signatures. You must collect at least 20 signatures. The first day to circulate nomination papers is December 1, 2023.
