🚑🚒The proposed Village of Kronenwetter ambulance service will move forward.

The Municipal Center Board Room was filled to capacity last night, June 13, 2024, as residents gathered to seek answers and share their opinions during the public forum regarding the potential establishment of a Village-operated ambulance service.

Following a presentation by Kronenwetter Fire & Rescue Chief Theresa O’Brien and EMS Coordinator Alexa Kufalk, residents were invited to comment and ask questions. After comments and questions from the Village Board, a motion was passed to create an ambulance service within the Kronenwetter Fire Department, with oversight and advisement from a seven-member subcommittee.

The subcommittee will be made of two Village Board members and five citizens, including residents of other committees, with knowledge helpful in ambulance service implementation.
