Five candidates running to fill three open Village Board trustee seats

Five residents have declared their intent to run for Village trustee in the Spring Election.

There are three open trustee seats:

Village Trustee - currently held by Joel Straub since 2021
Village Trustee - currently held by Chris Eiden since 2013
Village Trustee - currently held by Kim Tapper since 2021

Straub is running for Village president.

Incumbents Eiden and Tapper will face Kelly Coyle, Alex Vedvik and Guy Fredel.

On Monday, Jan. 9, Police Chief Terry McHugh drew candidate names for placement on the ballot.
