Are you interested in serving as a citizen member on a Village Committee?
The Village has an opening on the Community Life, Infrastructure and Public Property (CLIPP) Committee. The CLIPP, a standing committee of the Village, handles matters related to Police, Fire, Parks, and Public Works Department operations. Each committee has two elected officials and three appointed citizen members. The opening is for a citizen member of the committee. Committees typically meet once a month and are an excellent opportunity to assist the Village Board with the governance of the community. Each citizen member of a committee receives a small stipend for their participation in the committee.
If you or anyone you know might be interested in serving on the CLIPP or any committee, please have them complete a committee application that interested parties can find on the Village’s website. Completed applications can be emailed to the Village Clerk at firstname.lastname@example.org or dropped off at the municipal center. The link to the form is: https://cms6.revize.com/revize/kronenwetter/Committees/FRM_Committee%20Interest_FILLABLE%20v3.pdf
The Village Clerk will forward all of the applications that she receives to the Village President. The Village President contacts people about their interests and then recommends someone to the Village Board for approval.
