Committees & Commissions

Committees & Commissions

The Village of Kronenwetter has a number of committees & commissions with meetings that are open to the public.  Normally, each committee reviews topics and then makes a recommendation to the Village Board for final action on the item.   While the committees can recommend issues, the Village Board does not have to take the recommendations of the committees.   Each committee, other than the Police and Fire Commission, have at least two current Village Board members on it, hence when items are referred to the Village Board there are at least two Board members that are familiar with the issue at hand as they have most likely seen this issue at the committee level.

In order to gather opinions from citizens, committees also have a number of citizens on them, that are not elected officials,  that act as sounding boards for the Village Board. If you are interested in serving the Village as a committee or commission member, please fill out the Notice of Membership Interest in a Committee or Commission form If you have questions, please contact Village Clerk Bobbi Birk-LaBarge at 715-693-4200 ext. 1728 or  bbirklabarge@kronenwetter.org
