Kronenwetter, the largest Wisconsin village by square mileage, is located in the southern
metropolitan area of
Marathon
County
. We are a growing community (population 6378) with a diverse mix of residential and rural areas. See ABOUT KRONENWETTER for additional information about our Village.
Kronenwetter currently seeks a highly-motivated and skilled Director of Public Works. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of public works leadership as well as a firm commitment to team building and communication with elected and appointed officials, staff, and the public. The Director of Public Works is responsible for overall management of all aspects of Kronenwetter's public works operations including streets, transportation, parks, water and sewer utilities, engineering oversight, and community development support.
The Village will consider those candidates who have achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Land Use Planning, or related fields with at least two years of experience in civil engineering or municipal planning or Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering, Land Use Planning or related fields with ten years of experience in civil engineering, municipal planning, or public works. At least two years of supervisory experience is preferred.The successful candidate must demonstrate, through past experience, an ability to build effective working relationships with the Village Board and its committees/commissions, the Administrator, staff, and constituencies.
The salary range is $60k - $68k depending on qualifications plus the Village provides an excellent benefit package.
