Thank you for your interest in employment with the Village of Kronenwetter.
The Village has a vacancy in the Public Works/Zoning Administration area and is considering restructuring the unit with the possibility of filling one or both functions. We are therefore soliciting applicants for two positions: Director of Public Works and Community Development/Zoning Administrator.
Kronenwetter, the largest Wisconsin village by square mileage, is located in the southern
metropolitan area of
Marathon
County

DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS
Kronenwetter seeks a highly-motivated and skilled Director of Public Works. Ideal candidate has a proven history of public works leadership with experience in zoning and planning administration a plus. Position manages all aspects of Kronenwetter's public works budgets and operations. Also provides oversight for engineering projects as well as community development support. Duties may include administering the Village zoning code and providing staff support for the Plan Commission.
Requires Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Land Use Planning, or related fields with at least two years of experience in civil engineering, public works or municipal zoning and planning, OR Associate's Degree with ten years of experience in the same above fields. Prefer at least two years of supervisory experience. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin a plus. Salary range $60k-$68k DOQ plus excellent benefits. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT/ZONING ADMINISTRATOR
Kronenwetter seeks an experienced Community Development/Zoning Administrator. Ideal candidate has a proven history of zoning and land use planning administration and general management of economic development projects. Individual will plan, organize, and conduct activities of Community Development and Zoning Administration operations including programs, projects, budgets, and personnel.
Requires Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Land Use Planning, or related field with at least two years of experience in municipal zoning and planning, civil engineering or economic development OR Associate's Degree with five years of experience in the same fields. Salary DOQ plus excellent benefits.

The successful candidate must demonstrate, through past experience, an ability to build effective working relationships with the Village Board and its committees/commissions, the Administrator, staff, and constituencies.
