ARE YOU INTERESTED IN RUNNING FOR ELECTED OFFICE? SPRING ELECTION NOTICE

The following Village of Kronenwetter elected office positions will be open for a 2-year term during the Spring 2010 election on April 6, 2010.  If a primary is needed, it will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2010.  The following is a list of open positions:

Candidates may begin circulation of their nomination papers on or after December 1, 2009.  The deadline to file completed nomination papers with the Village Clerk is by 5 P.M. on Tuesday, January 5, 2010.  To request a candidacy information packet, call or email the Clerk at cindy@kronenwetter.org with your name and mailing address and the packet will be sent to you.  You may also pick up packets from the Municipal Center. 
          
VOTER REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
First-time Village of Kronenwetter voters may register at the Kronenwetter Municipal Center between 8 A.M. and 4 P.M.  Please make sure to bring in documenation with proof of residence.  You may also fill out the voter registration form (GAB-131) on-line and mail it into the clerk's office along with a copy of documenation showing proof of residence.  You will find the form at http://elections.state.wi.us. Click on 'Forms and Publications' in the side bar.  Voter Registration applications (GAB-131) may also be picked up at the Municipal Center.
 
ABSENTEE BALLOTS
You may request an absentee ballot from the Village Clerk. Requests must include:
1.        Your name, your Kronenwetter address, and the address where the ballot should be mailed to if different from your residence. 
2.        You must be a registered voter in order to request an Absentee Ballot.
3.        Form GAB-121 is the official form to use when requesting an Absentee Ballot. You can find this form at http://elections.state.wi.us. Click on 'Forms and Publications' in the side bar.  You may also pick this form up at the Municipal Center
