As the new Village Administrator, I would like to introduce myself to you, the residents of Kronenwetter. I was born and raised an Iowan. Being of Dutch and German heritage I believe I will fit in with our Village. My wife (Jacki) is an ER nurse and loves the ER challenge and pace. She also collects antiques along with her gardening during the summer. My oldest daughter (Erika) is a Federal Defender for southern Wisconsin. She told me at 5 years old she would become an attorney. She loves her challenges. My youngest daughter (Shannon) is married and is a senior at UW-Oshkosh and plans on becoming a college professor. I should mention that someone in the house is also a cat lover.
My career has been filled with many events that have had its rewards and challenges but one constant has been the people. We have a diverse society but Mid-western people are warm, caring people. They all want to make their living environment better. Hence my job is to help our Village to become the best it can be. You as a resident need to have pride in where you reside and the elected officials need to make the appropriate decisions to make the Village the best it can be.
What is my responsibility in making the living environment better? One of the first things to think about is how does my property look to other people. Is the grass mowed? How do the structures on my property look? Are there any nuisances on my property? The definition of nuisance is: "offensive to the senses". Does my property need some routines maintainance? Take care of the small things before they become a problem for your neighbors. Take pride in your property.
Kronenwetter is growing and we need to plan for that growth so everything has its "place" in our community. Good planning makes an attractive community and invites people to reside here. What would you like to see in our Village for businesses, convenience, recreation, and residential areas that would make our community better? I welcome your comments, ideas and suggestions.
