The Kronenwetter Yard Waste Site is located at 4496 Martin Road, just west of County Highway J. Click here for map, more information below. Allowed at the yard waste site is: grass clippings, leaves, pine needles & tree branches (6" or less). Tree stumps, painted & treated wood is NOT allowed at the yard waste site. Those items should be brought to the Marathon County Landfill, off State Highway 29 in the Township of Ringle.
WASTE SERVICESBeginning January 01, 2009 IROW to provide waste services to the Village of Kronenwetter. A 96-gallon waste container and two recycling bins are provided to each residential household. All garbage needs to be in tie-able bags and placed inside of the garbage cart with the lid closed.

Weekly Garbage Collection
Garbage carts and recycling bins need to be placed at the edge of your driveway and not in the road right-of-way, by 6:00 AM on collection day. Remove your carts and bins as soon as possible after collection. If not removed and they are damaged, the resident will be charged for a replacement. Route Collection Schedule
Monday: All west of Interstate 39.
Tuesday: All east of County Highway X, Forest Rd, Creek Rd, south of Pine Road to limits.
Wednesday: All east of Interstate 39, west of County Highway X, south of Kowalski Road.
Thursday: All east of Interstate 39, north of Kowalski Road, west of County Highway X / XX.
Friday: All east of County Highway X / XX, north of Forest Rd, west of Creek Rd and north of Pine Road. Includes Greenbud east to County Highway X and County Highway X north of Forest Road.
RECYCLING SERVICESGlass, plastic, tin & aluminum cans are commingled
Glass: (clear, brown, green and blue)
- Do not include dishes, light bulbs or window glass.
Plastic: (#1 & #2) Do not include motor oil containers, hangers, toys, plastic food wrappers or CD cases.
Tin: (cans) Do not include hangers or toys.
Aluminum: (cans)
Corrugated cardboard: Break down and bundle in 2' X 3' bundles.
Paper: Newspaper, junk mail, magazines, catalogs, paper grocery bags, cereal boxes and soda cartons can be placed in paper grocery bags or in recycling bin. Do not include food-contaminated paper or wax or plastic coated paper.
Other Items Collected
Call IROW at 693-7123 to purchase stickers and schedule collection for items, such as, applicances, furniture, carpeting, computer equipment, etc.
Latex paint
1. Let the liquid evaporate and dry out completely.
2. Cat litter, paper or sand can be used to absorb the paint and let dry.
3. Only dry cans can be put in the regular garbage.
