If there is one thing we all can enjoy, it is our community parks. They are where our children go to play, our families get together for reunions, our pets come to run and neighbors go to meet.
We have seven beautiful community parks. We also have two county forestry units and a school forest in our community as well.
The parks department does a wonderful job taking care of our parks to keep them enjoyable for you. It's important that we keep our parks clean. If you see someone violating park rules or vandalizing the park, contact the police department at 715.261.1200. Our municipal parks are open from 7:00am-10:00pm daily.

The Parks Committee would like to encourage you all to enjoy the Kronenwetter Parks System. We are in the process of upgrading playground equipment, for the safety of the children, which will be incorporated into all of our parks over the next few years. Please help keep our parks safe and clean so we can all enjoy them.

The Village of Kronenwetter is excited to announce the 1st Annual Kronenwetter Farmer’s Market.  The Farmer’s Market will take place at Sunset Park (2390 Terrebonne Drive) in the southeast corner of the park, at the intersection of Park Road and Kimberly Road.  The Farmer’s Market will be held on Sundays, except for the September 29th market which will be held in conjunction with the Kronenwetter Fall Fest (held at the Kronenwetter Municipal Center). The Farmer’s Market will be open on the following dates for 2012:  June 10th, every Sunday June 24th – September 16th, September 29th, and October 14th.  Hours of operation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. or sold out.

OUTDOOR RECREATION PLAN

A community survey was conducted as part of the Comprehensive Planning efforts in 2009.  Surveys were mailed to all households in Kronenwetter using the newsletter mailing address list.  A total of 1,114 responses were received from 3,175 surveys distributed; a 35% response rate.

Respondents were asked to identify what types of recreational facilities are needed in the Village.  Nearly 70 percent indicated that non-motorized multi-use paths are urgently or somewhat needed.  About 48 percent of responses indicated that picnic areas/pavilions are “somewhat or urgently needed.”  Several items received over 50 percent of responses as “not needed,” including motorized multi-use paths, a swimming facility, and an indoor recreation center.  Athletic fields and small neighborhood parks both received over 40 percent “not needed” responses.  Many commented that facilities are not needed due to a concern for tax impacts.  Improvements that can be done with minimal impact to taxes would be the most supported.  Some options to do this include grant funds, volunteer organizations, and partnering with other jurisdictions.
