LIFE IN OUR AREA
The urbanized, residential neighborhoods of Kronenwetter's northwest area slowly transform into the rural beauty of the southeastern areas. Kronenwetter is bordered on the west by the Wisconsin River, split north to south by Interstate 39 / US Highway 51 and surrounded on the east by the 5,000 acre Kronenwetter Forestry Unit and Leathercamp Ruffed Grouse Management Area.

The Village sits within a fifteen to twenty minute drive (or a bit longer bike ride) from the world class services offered in all directions.

EDUCATION
Kronenwetter lies within two area school districts, has a first class parochial high school and has quick close access to a technical school and a University of Wisconsin Extension.

D.C. Everest School District (northern Kronenwetter)
"D.C. Everest Area School District is an EXTRAORDINARY place to prepare your child for the future. We're supported by a vibrant, growing community that stands solidly behind our schools to create a stimulating, caring and safe environment. Together, we are investing time and resources to nurture creative, responsible and successful students. It's a partnership that brings out the best in all of us. Come and visit us soon!"
~ Dr. Kristine Gilmore, D.C. Everest Superintendent

Mosinee School District  (southern Kronenwetter)
"Mosinee Schools have a record of excellence in teaching. Several teachers have received Kohl Foundation fellowships and many others have been recognized for exceptional achievement. Mosinee graduates do well in college, at technical school and on the job.

The community supports education. More than 70 businesses participate in the School-to-Work program by providing sites for school-supervised work experience, expertise for programs such as Junior Achievement or time for coming to school to speak and meet with students. Local service clubs and volunteers provide support along with the Mosinee Parent Teacher Organization that has been an active partner in education for the past twenty-two years donating time and money to improve opportunities for children.

In April 2007, the Mosinee community passed a $9.6 million referendum that added fifteen new classrooms, a new IMC and gymnasium and other improvements to our elementary school."

"Northland Lutheran High School offers high quality Christian Education for Grades 9-12. With a family atmosphere students are offered a place to grow and learn. NLHS has consistency ranked highest in ACT scores for the surrounding community. Come and see the difference."
