EXPLORER POST TRAINING
Firearms Safety & Hands-On Training

On July 10, 2008 advisors and firearms instructors took the police explorers to the Wausau Police Department Firearms Range. Under careful guide and instruction we taught our students firearms safety and hands-on training with firearms. This is an important part of our instruction, as any student who seeks a future career in law enforcement will need to overcome any fears of handling a firearm.

Each explorer always has an advisor or instructor supervising them at the line.
Our explorers adhere to very strict safety standards, wearing ballistic vests with eye and ear protection.
At the end of the day, Wausau Officer A. Reince and Kronenwetter Officer L. Lopes-Serrao go on to have a friendly competition.
