KRONENWETTER VILLAGE BOARD MEETING

 

DECEMBER 20, 2007

 

MEETING MINUTES

 

Rick Smith called the meeting to order at 5 p.m. 

 

ROLL CALL:

Members of the Village Board present:  Rick Smith, Rod Fisher, Justeen Vollrath, Dan Lesniak, Sue Bird, and Sidney Hallas. 

 

Also Present:  Marie Wonsil, Deputy Village Clerk; Bruce Bierma, Administrator, Attorney Shane VanderWaal and Engineer Richard Schneider.

 

ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSSIBLE CLOSED SESSION:

Rick Smith announced that the Board will be convening into closed session pursuant to Wis. Stats. § 19.85 (1)(c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility – Village Administrator, and pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(e), Wis. Stats., for the purpose of deliberating the investment of public funds, or conducting other specific public business, whenever competitive or for bargaining reasons, require a closed session for the Kowalski Road Project.

 

CONSIDERATION OF MOTION TO CONVENE INTO CLOSED SESSION PURSUANT TO WISCONSIN STATUTES § 19.85 (1) (C) CONSIDERING EMPLOYMENT, PROMOTION, COMPENSATION OR PERFORMANCE EVALUATION DATA OF ANY PUBLIC EMPLOYEE OVER WHICH THE GOVERNMENTAL BODY HAS JURISDICTION OR EXERCISES RESPONSIBILITY – VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR, AND PURSUANT TO SECTION 19.85(1) (E), WIS. STATS., FOR THE PURPOSE OF DELIBERATING THE INVESTMENT OF PUBLIC FUNDS, OR CONDUCTING OTHER SPECIFIC PUBLIC BUSINESS, WHENEVER COMPETITIVE OR FOR BARGAINING REASONS, REQUIRE A CLOSED SESSION, - KOWALSKI ROAD PROJECT:

Sidney Hallas made a Motion to convene into closed session. Motion seconded by Sue Bird. 

 

Roll Call:  Smith-yes, Vollrath-yes, Fisher-yes, Lesniak-yes, Bird-yes, Hallas-yes.  Motion approved.

 

Deputy Clerk Marie Wonsil was excused from the closed session.

 

Geraldine Kowalski, Village Trustee, arrived at 5:30 P.M.

MOTION TO RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION: 

Geraldine Kowalski made a Motion to reconvene into open session. 

Motion seconded by Sidney Hallas.

 

Roll Call:  Smith-yes, Kowalski-yes, Vollrath-yes, Fisher-yes, Lesniak-yes, Bird-yes, Hallas-yes.  Motion approved.

Deputy Clerk Wonsil was asked to come back for the open session meeting.

 

DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING EMPLOYMENT OF VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR:

The Board made the following amendments to Village Administrator Employment Contract:

 

 

 

 

(Note. Village Ordinance will need to be amended)

 

Sue Bird made a Motion to approve the Village Administrator Employment Contract with the amendments. Motion seconded by Sidney Hallas.

 

Roll Call:  Smith-yes, Kowalski-yes, Vollrath-yes, Fisher-yes, Lesniak-yes, Bird-yes, Hallas-yes.  Motion approved.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

Sue Bird made a Motion to adjourn, seconded by Dan Lesniak.  All members in favor of Motion by voice vote. Motion approved.

 

The meeting adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
