DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS APPLICATION PROCESS
The
Village
of
Kronenwetter
invites interested and qualified individuals to apply for the Director of Public Works (DPW) position. The Director of Public Works position will remain open until filled. However, applications received by March 15, 2010 will be included in the initial review that is currently scheduled for March 16 - March 23, 2010.
Please note: Although the Village will make all reasonable efforts to adhere to the published schedule, all dates should be considered tentative until confirmed.

PHASE 1
Interested individuals should review this Application Process and submit an Application for Employment, Authorization to Release Information, and optionally the Request for Confidentiality along with their Letter of Interest and Resume to:

PHASE 2
The Village will conduct its initial review of all application materials between March 16 and March 23, 2010 and will schedule selected applicants for preliminary telephone interviews to take place between March 23 and March 27, 2010. After all telephone interviews have been completed, the DPW Recruiting Committee will evaluate the results, and will verify the professional and educational credentials of applicants selected for further consideration. Candidates who meet the Village's requirements at this point will be scheduled for on-site interviews on April 10, 2010.
PHASE 3
Following the first on-site interviews currently scheduled for April 10, the Village may interview personal and professional references. The Village may request additional personal information such as date of birth, all former states of residence, and former names and/or aliases. During this period, applicants who are selected to proceed in the hiring process will be subject to criminal history, credit, and driver's license checks prior to being considered finalists. At this point, applicant names are subject to public release.
PHASE 4
On or about April 17, 2010, candidates who are named finalists will interview with the Village Board as well as the DPW Recruiting Committee and a recruiting work group. Confidentiality cannot be guaranteed for finalists.
PHASE 5
The Village hopes to complete the hiring process in early April 2010 with the selected candidate starting employment as soon as possible thereafter.
